Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe is a character-driven YA novel set in the late 80s as two boys come of age.

Ari is an angry but kind teen who hasn’t had many friends. He’s the youngest in his family with his other siblings much older and his brother in prison. No one talks about his brother and this angers him more. Ari’s father is aloof since coming back from the war and his mother is a mother just hanging around too much for his teen self to like.

Dante is a creative thinking happier teen who befriends Ari when he offers to teach him to swim and they begin a friendship that Ari has never had.

Both loners create a special bond that helps lead to discovering more about themselves and who they want to be in the world.

Both books are available at the library in physical, ebook, and audiobook!
